Fellowship Groups
Fellowship groups are a vital element in the ministry of FPC.
Fellowship groups are a great way to grow in the Christian life.
They are made up of 6-12 people who gather to experience God's
presence, grow in community, and be equipped for the work God has
for us to do in the world. They provide opportunity for greater
intimacy, mutual support, practical love and service, learning
about the Christian faith, prayer, and sharing of what God is doing
in our lives. Fellowship Groups engage in worship, Bible study,
prayer, and outreach. Fellowship group leaders and hosts are needed
for fellowship groups to exist.
WOMEN IN THE CHURCH (WIC)
The purpose of the Women in the Church is that every woman know
Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in
her life, home, church, in the community, and around the world.
The women get together periodically for mutural encouragement and
support.
MEN IN THE CHURCH
The men's ministry
has the purpose of encouraging men in their walk with God.
There are periodic men's fellowships, outings, and weekly men's
basketball for the young at heart. Men are encouraged to meet
one on one or in small groups. As one pastor said, "A
man not meeting with another man is an accident waiting to
happen."
Leadership
training is a vital ministry of our church. The pastor meets
bi-weekly with a group of men for dinner and bible study/discussion
on topics of importance for leaders. Currently, the men have
been reading good Christian books on such topics as reformed
theology, characteristics of a godly man, and the importance
of personal and corporate renewal. The next subject for study
will be the book of Titus which provides instruction on the
work of the church.
FPCC has several
fellowship groups which meet during the month. This includes
a fellowship group that meets
every other Tuesday night, Choir that meets every Wednesday
night, and a new fellowship group beginning in Concord on
Sunday evening. Seeing the need for
more connection and opportunities for Christian growth, fellowship
dinner groups have been organized. There has been an overwhelming response
to this ministry. Men’s prayer group meets at 6:00 A.M. and 7:45
A.M. on Wednesdays at the church office. FPCC is also involved
in the Friendly Kitchen, a soup kitchen providing hot meals
to people in the Concord area. For more information, please
contact the church office at 225-7377, or email us at info@fpccnh.org.
